I love books. I always have. Even as a child, I could often be found with my nose stuck in a book. That only changed when I entered university and literally ran out of time to read. If my nose wasn’t in a text book, I was staring into a microscope or scribbling away in my lab notebook. That’s when I found Audible! I do remember hearing tons of YouTubers and bloggers talking about it, and while I was skeptical, once I started, I couldn’t stop!
I’ve made my way through some great books lately and want to share them with you! I try to change up my books often- a series here; A NYT Bestseller there…just whatever tickles my fancy when I get to choose a new book! I’m currently paying for the single book per month, but have been seriously considering upgrading to two books each month- they are just that good! In terms of cost, I don’t find the subscription any more expensive than buying a hardcopy book each month- so I have no problems forking out the $20-$21 CAD each month. Here are the books I’ve been loving- and the ones that are waiting on my wish list:
Every Fifteen Minutes- Lisa Scottoline
Where They Found Her: A Novel– Kimberly McCreight
Behind Closed Doors– B.A. Paris
The Chemist– Stephanie Meyer
The Good Girl– Mary Kubica
The End of The Affair – Graham Greene (I actually had this because of an English class I was taking online and could listen to it over and over- it’s that good! Additionally, there is a version that is read by Colin Firth- it’s like listening to Love Actually on replay every time I listen to it!)
The Couple Next Door– Shari Lapena
One Perfect Life – Lisa Scottoline (I LOVE Lisa’s novels- they are fantastic. She also writes a number of series involving an all-female law firm, Rosato & Associates- she is such a fantastic author!)
Reconstructing Amelia– Kimberly McCreight
A Man Called Ove– Fredrik Backman
